Every baby shower tells a story, and for Nikki—a passionate elementary school teacher—it was only fitting that her special day be inspired by the magic of children’s books. Hosted at Savannah & Company in Yorktown Heights, NY, this whimsical celebration blended beloved storybook classics with dreamy floral details, bringing to life a “Baby in Bloom” theme that was as heartwarming as it was beautiful.
Invites

The first chapter of this story began with the perfect invitation! I designed Nikki’s invitations through Minted.com, using an adorable template by Itsy Belle Studio featuring charming children’s book illustrations. This set the tone for a shower that was both sentimental and elegant.
Decor & Favors

To create an atmosphere as enchanting as a storybook, I incorporated delicate floral elements and nostalgic childhood touches throughout the venue.
-
A custom welcome sign made from clear acrylic with real pressed flowers greeted guests upon arrival.
-
A long banquet table brought all the guests together, adorned with childhood photos of Nikki, small bud vases filled with colorful blooms, and thoughtfully placed storybook details.
-
Favors were a true highlight! I had handmade soap bars wrapped to resemble classic children’s books like Brown Bear, Brown Bear and Guess How Much I Love You—a unique and practical keepsake for guests.
-
Escort cards and signage featured dreamy watercolor wildflower illustrations from Etsy, adding a soft, romantic touch to the space.

The celebration coincided with Nikki’s birthday! We made sure to celebrate her with her favorite—funfetti cake—and, of course, a special copy of Dr. Seuss’s Happy Birthday to You! for baby and mama to cherish.
Games & Activities

No baby shower is complete without a little interactive fun! Guests participated in a series of creative and meaningful activities, perfect for celebrating baby Rogers’ upcoming arrival.
-
Upon arrival, guests signed the back of a wooden alphabet puzzle, a functional and sentimental keepsake for the baby’s nursery.
-
Each guest had a page from Baby’s first alphabet book to fill out and color, choosing an item that corresponded with their assigned letter. It was such a creative and interactive activity, and we loved seeing the unique words and drawings everyone came up with!

A Shower to Remember
Nikki’s baby shower was an intimate and heartfelt celebration filled with laughter, love, and literary magic. It was such an honor to bring her vision to life and create a day that reflected both her passion for children’s books and the excitement of welcoming her little one. Wishing Nikki and Baby Rogers all the best on their next big adventure! 💛📚🌸
